As it turns out, everybody and their mother-in-law is using a Sonicare or like product. WTF have I been?!
Now I'd like to know what the best/most effective model is and why...in my husband's typical style of spending, I'm pretty sure I got the cheapest model possible. Wonder if it's refurbished?!

I got my oral b years ago at Costco. They also sell sonicare. It came with one charging base, two handles and a travel case. I thought I got a great deal. I'm still on the first handle and happy to know I have the second handle for when the battery of the first doesn't work anymore. The travel case is totally necessary if you want to use your toothbrush on the road, otherwise the button get's pushed very easily. Maybe newer models come with a lock?
I hate to say it but the Oral B is a P of S. We tried one for three days and then gave it to Bailee. Sonicare is the best and you'll get a better deal at Bed and Bath than at Costco. It usually pays to get the most expensive model because even if it saves just one visit to the dentist it's worth it.
I have a sonicare and i have an oral b travel one (a friend gave it to me). frankly, or, farnkly (ha ha!) they are all the same. So, just get whichever one is cheapest. Sorry to contradict farnk!
Also keep in mind that you have eto be very gentle with the toothbrush. let it do all the work for you!!!
I love it Farnk: "Oral B is a P of S" so we "gave it to Bailee."!!!
Beth - love the pun!
I use a manual toothbrush. It's cheaper than any electric one and my teeth are fine.
